Our September, Plum Influence Magazine is a special issue and has one main focus: to spotlight the 100 top influencers who inspire us, challenge us, open our eyes to the power of charity, get us to think broader and bigger and those who change the game.

The process of finding these 100 individuals is a multi-tiered format that goes beyond the “like us” tactic on Facebook and vote for your favorite. It is a community nomination and collective effort to find the perfect fit for each of the ten categories.

The ten categories go beyond the business savvy or politician focused it is dedicated to the following people:

Foodies: The pallet pleasers of Reno/Tahoe who create the experience we all flock to for a great meal and conversation. Chefs, Restaurant Owners, and Critics.

Our neighbors who reach out: grocery checkers, bar tenders, janitors, administrators, our mail men and women, baristas, waiters and waitresses, the one who still throws a block party and those who listen to someone when no one else will.

Risk-takers & Visionaries: In 2007 when our economy began to fall these people started new projects, began new businesses and new campaigns. They walk the walk of innovation and look beyond the crowd.

Economic Leaders & Industry Experts: The people who are abundant and share their knowledge in order to drive our economy and help start-ups succeed.
